The U.S. Census will define who we are as a
nation. Taken every ten years, the census
affects political representation and directs the
allocation of billions of dollars in government
funding. Census partners help by sharing
information about the importance of
participating in this historic event and help
ensure no one is left uncounted |

The first census
was conducted in 1790 and has been completed
every ten years since then. The census is a
count of all the people who live in the United
States: not just citizens. Everyone needs to be
counted. Federal funds are distributed
throughout all the states every year, based on
population information. Remember, everyone
counts! |
